Fiordland: Mackay Falls
Fiordland, New Zealand: Mackay Falls

The last day of the Milford track is less spectacular than the day before but still has beautiful forests and waterfalls on offer. Then the grand finale of the track awaits you: A short boat ride takes you across Milford Sound into the village of the same name – where it is a good idea to stay for another day and take a cruise through the Sound. And even the bus ride back to Te Anau is great since the Milford Road is one 100km long sight in itself.

The photograph was made with a Canon EOS 6D and an EF 35mm f/2 IS USM lens. The exposure was 1,3 seconds at f/22 and ISO 200. The photograph was edited in Adobe Lightroom. This photo is also in my portfolio and is available as a limited edition print. You can find all of these photos along with others from this journey across New Zealand’s South Island in my album New Zealand 2013 or on Flickr.
